14 Races at Silverstone Classic - 25.07.2011

The Silverstone Classic saw another very busy weekend for Roger Wills.

Driving 15 cars in 14 different races Wills teamed up with usual co drivers Joe Twyman & Paul Radisich as well as Touring & Sports Car legend John Fitzpatrick.

The best results came in the HGPCA Pre 66 races in the ex Bruce McLaren Cooper T51. Wills won race one and had a commanding lead in the second race before a clash with a backmarker on the last lap demoted him to third.

Sharing with fellow Kiwi Paul Radisich, the pair won the SRM section of the World Sports Car Masters race in Roger's McLaren M1B but unfortunately the McLaren M1C which should have been in contention for an overall win didnt run due to engine maladies.

Roger and Joe won the hotly contested "Elite Class" in the RAC TT race. A hatrick of wins following on from their successes in 2009 & 2010.

In it's debut under Wills' command, the Courage C26S ran on the pace but boost issues prevented a better result.
