Solid weekend at Silverstone Classic - 24.07.2012

Another busy weekend for Roger at Silverstone ended with some great results across the board.

Perhaps the biggest Highlight came in the form of an overall win in the Pre 61 Historic Grand Prix Cars Association race, where Roger beat the similar Lotus 16's of Philip Walker and Eddie McGuire to win in the ex Graham Hill works team Lotus car.

Elsewhere Roger took a 3rd in class in the Lotus 15 and Mini Cooper, sharing with Joe Twyman. A 4th overall in the first Grand Prix Masters race driving the Tyrrell P34 and a 5th overall in the second HGPCA Rear Engined race driving his Cooper T51.

Unfortunately mechanical issues curtailed his progress in the Lotus Elite where he was on for a 4th win in as many years and also in the McLaren M1C which got too hot during Sunday's World Sports Cars Masters event.

The attention now focuses to the Spa 24 Hours where Roger will compete in the Von Ryan McLaren MP4-12C GT3 car with Rob Barff, Leon Price and Chris Goodwin.
